Rick Bagby was a standout goalkeeper on some of the college's first lacrosse teams, helping the Tigers to their first winning records at 10-6 in 1977, 10-3 in 1978, and 8-5 in 1979. He was twice named an All-Southern League goalkeeper and as a senior was honored by In the Crease Magazine. His mark on the sport of lacrosse has been immense, boasting a 291-89 record as a high school coach in Massachusetts. Additionally, he helped start youth programs in Marshfield and Duxbury, and he is the owner and founder of '21Lacrosse,' a college preparatory lacrosse organization. At the collegiate level, he has served as the Athletic Director at Bellarmine and Emerson while helping establish a Division I program at Bellarmine. He has coached club teams at Emerson, Northeastern, and Georgia, and he currently serves as the head men's lacrosse coach at Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
