Hall of Fame
Cannon Watson served as Voice of the Tigers for football and basketball on WFLO Radio from 1993-2021, beginning as a color analyst for a couple of seasons each before taking over play-by-play duties. Cannon called nearly 1,000 games between the two sports over the 28 years. Highlights for the Farmville, Virginia native included five ODAC Football Championship seasons (2007, 2009, 2011, 2013-14) and six NCAA Football Playoff appearances (2007, 2009-11, 2013-14), along with eight ODAC Basketball Championship seasons (1995, 1997-99, 2001-02, 2004, 2007) and 12 NCAA Basketball Tournament appearances (1994-95, 1997-2004, 2007, 2013).
