D3hoops.com Top 25. The Tigers earned 372 points in the week one poll and moved up from their No. 17 preseason ranking. The Garnet & Grey are 4-1 through their first five games, the only setback to current No. 3 UW-La Crosse in the season-opener by a score of 77-75 in overtime.
The Top 10 includes defending NCAA Division III National Champion Trinity (CT) College (3-0) at No. 1 with 616 points and 23 first-place votes, followed by fellow Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) member Randolph-Macon College (4-0) at No. 2, UW-La Crosse (5-0) at No. 3, University of Redlands (CA) (5-0) at No. 4, Washington (MO) University (3-0) at No. 5, Illinois Wesleyan University (5-0) at No. 6, the University of Mary Washington (6-0) at No. 7, the University of Chicago (3-1) at No. 8, Emory (GA) University (3-1) at No. 9 and H-SC at No. 10. ODAC members Roanoke College (4-1) and Virginia Wesleyan University (2-1) are at No. 13 and No. 15, respectively.
H-SC is idle this week for the Thanksgiving Holiday before returning to action next week on the road for its ODAC opener at archrival and No. 2 Randolph-Macon on Wednesday night, December 3, at 7 p.m. in Ashland.
