HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. --Â Hampden-Sydney College senior wide receiver and team captain
Mason Cunningham (Arlington) has been named the
2025 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Football J. Stokeley Fulton Offensive Player of the Year, as announced today by the conference office. Mason is the fifth Tiger to earn offensive player of the year honors since the conference went to this format in 2004, and the first from the College to garner the accolade since Cam Johnson in 2017. Overall, 12 Tigers earned All-ODAC honors to equal the most since 2017, as well.

Mason Cunningham started all 10 games and led the team with 47 receptions for 869 receiving yards and 11 receiving touchdowns, tying a career-high with three touchdowns at Guilford (NC) (9/27). The 11 touchdowns equal the sixth-best season total in program history. He had four 100-yard receiving games, including a season-high 168 yards on nine receptions and two touchdowns vs. Bridgewater (11/8). Cunningham led the ODAC in receiving yards, receiving yards per game (86.9) and receiving touchdowns, was second in receptions, total touchdowns (11) and total points (66), third in yards per reception (18.5) and points per game (6.6), fifth in all-purpose yards (899) and eighth in all-purpose yards per game (89.9). Mason is 17th in NCAA Division III receiving touchdowns, and totals 185 career receptions for 2,323 career receiving yards and 24 career touchdowns—starting 27 of 30 career games.

Joseph Gonzalez played in all 10 games and was second on the team with 1,082 all-purpose yards, including 641 kick return yards on 22 kick returns (29.1), 419 rushing yards on 82 attempts (5.1) and 22 receiving yards on three receptions. He had a long kick return of 80 yards among three returns of 50-plus yards, and had five rushing touchdowns. Gonzalez led the ODAC in kick return yards, was third in all-purpose yards, all-purpose yards per game (108.2) and kick return average, seventh in rushing yards, ninth in rushing yards per game (41.9) and tied for 10th in rushing touchdowns. Joseph is 10th in DIII kick return yards and kick return average, and totals 1,681 career kick return yards on 68 career kick returns (24.7) and one career kick return touchdown (91 yards)—playing in 29 career games.

Carter Sido started all 10 games and led the team with 2,254 passing yards (138-231-9) and 29 touchdowns with nine interceptions thrown, adding 236 yards rushing on 66 attempts (3.6). The 29 touchdowns equal the fourth-best season total in program history. He had five 250-plus-yard passing games, including a career-high 330 yards (17-25-1) and three touchdowns vs. Roanoke (10/25), and a career-high six passing touchdowns at Guilford (9/27). Sido led the ODAC in passing yards, passing yards per game (225.4), passing touchdowns, passing efficiency (175.3), total offense (2,490) and total offense per game (249.0), and was fifth in completion percentage (59.7). Carter is second in DIII passing yards per completion (16.33), eighth in yards per pass attempt (9.76), 10th in passing efficiency and 14th in passing touchdowns, and totals 4,404 career passing yards and 54 career passing touchdowns, adding 704 career rushing yards—starting 21 of 27 career games.

Terry Hicks started all 10 games and led the team with 1,020 rushing yards on 195 attempts (5.2) and 14 rushing touchdowns, including a career-high three touchdowns vs. Shenandoah (9/20), adding 10 receptions for 100 receiving yards. The 1,020 rushing yards are the 10th-best season total in program history. He had four 100-yard rushing games, including a season-high 192 yards on a career-high 31 attempts (6.2) vs. Shenandoah. Hicks led the ODAC in rushing touchdowns, total touchdowns (14), total points (84) and points per game (8.4), was second in rushing yards, rushing yards per game (102.0), all-purpose yards (1,120) and all-purpose yards per game (112.0), and ninth in total offense (1,020).

Parks Cromwell started all 10 games and was fifth on the team with 44 tackles, including 25 solo, 2.0 for loss, 1.0 sack, two interceptions, six pass breakups, one quarterback hurry and three forced fumbles. He tied for first in the ODAC in forced fumbles, and tied for sixth in interceptions, passes defended (8) and pass breakups. Parks is 15th in DIII forced fumbles.

Cash Topinka started all 10 games, anchoring the offensive line at left guard, while playing every snap that the first team offense was on the field throughout the season and allowing only one sack. He was the team's highest graded lineman at 93%, as the offense accounted for 4,855 yards of total offense (485.5), including 2,308 rushing yards (230.8) and 2,547 passing yards (254.7) with 61 touchdowns.

Robert Clarke started all 10 games and co-led the team with 69 tackles, including 25 solo, 10.0 for loss, 6.0 sacks, one interception, two pass breakups and one forced fumble. He is third in the ODAC in sacks, seventh in tackles for loss and tied for 10th in tackles. Robert totals 143 career tackles, including 57 career solo, 15.0 career for loss, 7.0 career sacks, one interception, four career pass breakups, two career fumbles recovered and one career forced fumble—starting 18 of 33 career games.

Manning Lasso started nine of 10 games and was second on the team with 28 receptions for 528 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns. He had one 100-yard receiving game: 109 yards on four receptions and a career-high-tying two touchdowns at Averett (10/18). Manning is second in the ODAC in receiving touchdowns and yards per reception (18.9), fourth in receiving yards and receiving yards per game (52.8), tied for ninth in total touchdowns (6) and tied for 10th in total points (36) and points per game (3.6).

Thomas Wilson started all 10 games at left tackle, while playing every snap that the first team offense was on the field throughout the season and allowing just four sacks. He was the team's second-highest graded lineman at 90%, as the offense accounted for 4,855 yards of total offense (485.5), including 2,308 rushing yards (230.8) and 2,547 passing yards (254.7) with 61 touchdowns.

Wyatt Croson started all 10 games and was eighth on the team with 32 tackles, including eight solo, 2.5 for loss, 1.0 sacks, one pass breakup, one quarterback hurry, one fumble recovered and one blocked kick (PAT). He totals 55 career tackles, including 12 career solo, 6.0 career for loss, 1.5 career sacks, one career pass breakup, one career quarterback hurry, one career fumble recovered and one career blocked kick (PAT)—starting 15 of 18 career games.

James Townsend started all 10 games and was ninth on the team with 31 tackles, including 13 solo, 0.5 for loss, two interceptions and eight pass breakups. He tied for second in the ODAC in pass breakups and passes defended (10), and tied for sixth in interceptions. James totals 139 career tackles, including 88 career solo, 7.5 career for loss, five career interceptions, 21 career pass breakups, three career forced fumbles, two career fumbles recovered and one career blocked kick (PAT)—starting 36 of 40 career games.

Kam Mahoney started all 10 games and was fourth on the team with 15 receptions for 190 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns. He is tied for third in the ODAC in receiving touchdowns.
