Hampden-Sydney Has Five Earn 2026 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society Membership

IRVING, Texas -- Hampden-Sydney College football standouts Tucker Booth (Colonial Heights), Robert Clarke (Atlanta, GA), Mason Cunningham (Arlington), Carter Sido (Dallas, TX) and William Stimmel (Atlanta, GA) have each been named a member of the 2026 National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the 2026 class includes a record 2,596 players from 365 schools, representing the largest group in the program's history.

Tucker Booth is an engineering physics major, minoring in German and mathematics with a 3.28 GPA. On the field, the H-Back played in nine games last fall and contributed primarily on special teams for the Tigers. Tucker played in 13 career games, while a two-time ODAC All-Academic Team honoree.

Robert Clarke is an economics and business major, minoring in rhetoric with a 3.61 GPA, and was a semifinalist for the 2025 William V. Campbell Trophy®. On the field, the second-year team captain and linebacker started all 10 games and co-led the team with 69 tackles, including 25 solo, 10.0 for loss, 6.0 sacks, one interception, two pass breakups and one forced fumble. A Second Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) selection, he was third in the ODAC in sacks, seventh in tackles for loss and tied for 11th in tackles. Robert completed his H-SC career with 143 total tackles, including 57 solo and 86 assisted, 15.0 for loss, 7.0 sacks, one interception, four pass breakups, two fumbles recovered and one forced fumble—starting 18 of 33 career games, while a three-time ODAC All-Academic Team honoree and a two-time College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Football Team selection.

Mason Cunningham is an economics and business major with a 3.41 GPA. On the field, the team captain and wide receiver started all 10 games and led the team with 47 receptions for 869 receiving yards and 11 receiving touchdowns, tying a career-high with three touchdowns at Guilford (NC) (9/27), and named the ODAC Football J. Stokeley Fulton Offensive Player of the Year. The 11 touchdowns equal the sixth-best season total in program history. He had four 100-yard receiving games, including a season-high 168 yards on nine receptions and two touchdowns vs. Bridgewater (11/8). Cunningham led the ODAC in receiving yards, receiving yards per game (86.9) and receiving touchdowns, was second in receptions, total touchdowns (11) and total points (66), third in yards per reception (18.5) and points per game (6.6), fifth in all-purpose yards (899) and eighth in all-purpose yards per game (89.9). A three-time All-ODAC honoree, Mason completed his H-SC career with 185 receptions for 2,323 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns—starting 27 of 30 career games, while a two-time ODAC All-Academic Team honoree.

Carter Sido is an economics major with a 3.28 GPA. On the field, the second-year team captain and quarterback started all 10 games and led the team with 2,254 passing yards (138-231-9) and 29 touchdowns with nine interceptions thrown, adding 236 yards rushing on 66 attempts (3.6). The 29 touchdowns equal the fourth-best season total in program history. He had five 250-plus-yard passing games, including a career-high 330 yards (17-25-1) and three touchdowns vs. Roanoke (10/25), and a career-high six passing touchdowns at Guilford (9/27). Sido led the ODAC in passing yards, passing yards per game (225.4), passing touchdowns, passing efficiency (175.3), total offense (2,490) and total offense per game (249.0), and was fifth in completion percentage (59.7). A two-time All-ODAC honoree, Carter completed his H-SC career with 4,404 passing yards and 54 passing touchdowns, adding 704 rushing yards—starting 21 of 27 career games, while a three-time ODAC All-Academic Team honoree.

William Stimmel is an economics and business major, minoring in Spanish with a 3.52 GPA. On the field, the second-year team captain started four of five games at right guard and helped the Tigers account for 2,233 yards of total offense (446.6) in those five games, including 1,097 yards rushing (219.4) and 1,136 yards passing (227.2), with 28 touchdowns. William started 16 of 18 career games, while a two-time ODAC All-Academic Team honoree.

Created in 2007, the NFF Hampshire Honor Society is one of the most comprehensive scholar-athlete initiatives in college athletics, recognizing senior football players from all divisions who have maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher throughout their college careers.
