HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College (10-1-2, 4-0-2) has been ranked No. 22 in this week's
United Soccer Coaches Division III Men's Soccer Top 25. It is the third week in the poll this season, and were last ranked 21st two weeks ago.
H-SC, under the leadership of ninth-year head coach
Tommy DiNuzzo, have only suffered one defeat, outscoring opponents 29 to eight on the season, and averaging 2.23 goals per game while allowing .62. Seven of the 10 wins have been shutouts, including a 3-0 win over then No. 24 University of Mary Washington and a 2-0 win over then No. 18 University of Lynchburg. The lone loss this season has come on the road against Christopher Newport University, which is ranked No. 19 currently.
Tufts (MA) University (10-1-2) tops the rankings for the second consecutive week. The Jumbos are followed in the Top 10 by Emory (GA) University (11-0-2), Washington (MO) University (11-0-1), St. Olaf (MN) College (13-1-2), Brandeis (MA) University (9-1-3), Trinity (TX) University (11-1-0), Augsburg (MN) University (14-1-1), Dickinson (PA) College (10-0-5), Williams (MA) College (8-1-4), and Wheaton (MA) College (10-0-3).
H-SC is one of two ODAC schools within the poll, with Lynchburg (11-1-2) ranked 23rd.
