LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Junior Jackson Herndon (Chatham) posted a collegiate-best and new school-record time of 3:57.86 in the outdoor 1500 meter run to lead Hampden-Sydney College at the WildCat Invitational on Saturday hosted by Randolph College in Lynchburg. Jackson finished first among 44 runners in the 1500, ahead of runner-up Nathaniel Orban (3:59.00) of Roanoke College.

Juniors Dylan Evans (Virginia Beach) and Jefferson Duffey (Keysville) each competed in the 1500, as well, with Evans posting a time of 4:35.63 to place 34th, and Duffey with a time of 4:43.06 to finish 38th—each with new collegiate-best times, as well.

H-SC will compete again at the 2026 ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Eastern Mennonite University on April 24-25 in Harrisonburg.
