LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Junior Jackson Herndon (Chatham) posted a collegiate-best and new school-record time of 1:54.20 in the outdoor 800 meter run to lead Hampden-Sydney College at the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic on Saturday hosted by the University of Lynchburg at the Shellenberger Field & Dr. Jack M. Toms Track in Lynchburg. Herndon finished fifth among 68 runners in the event that was won by Daniel Rockey of host Lynchburg with a time of 1:53.01.

H-SC will compete again at the WildCat Invitational hosted by Randolph College on April 18 beginning at 9 a.m. in Lynchburg.
