LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Junior Dylan Evans (Virginia Beach) posted a collegiate-best time of 4:39.80 in the outdoor 1500 meter run to lead Hampden-Sydney College at the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic on Friday evening hosted by the University of Lynchburg at the Shellenberger Field & Dr. Jack M. Toms Track in Lynchburg. Evans finished 43rd among 50 runners, while classmate Jefferson Duffey (Keysville) competed in the event, as well, and also posted a collegiate-best effort with a time of 4:45.12 to place 45th. Evan Young of Christopher Newport University won the 1500 with a time of 3:59.69.

H-SC will continue and complete its competition in the two-day event on Saturday, April 11, beginning at 3 p.m. in Lynchburg.
