HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College plays at home against Randolph College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men's basketball action on Wednesday night, February 18, at 7 p.m. on Tony Shaver Court in Diaz Arena at Kirby Field House. The host Tigers are 14-9 overall, 8-6 in the ODAC (T-5th), while the visiting WildCats are 5-18 overall, 1-13 in the ODAC (12th). The Garnet & Grey have secured their top eight finish to qualify for the 2026 ODAC Tournament, and have an opportunity to finish as high as fourth, depending upon the outcomes of this week's conference contests. Head Coach Caleb Kimbrough
H-SC is led by the seventh-year head coach who took over the program on April 4, 2019. The former head coach at Huntingdon (AL) College from 2016-19, Kimbrough is the 19th head coach in the 116-year history of the storied Hampden-Sydney program. He is no stranger to the ODAC, having played four years at Guilford (NC) College and coached six years with the Quakers, and one year at Washington and Lee University. Kimbrough is 120-53 at the College, ranking sixth in program coaching wins, while his current winning percentage (.694) ranks second all-time. He is a two-time National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III District 6 Coach of the Year (2022-23, 2023-24), was the 2022-23 ODAC Men's Basketball Bob Johnson Coach of the Year and the 2024-25 D3hoops.com Region 6 Coach of the Year.

Scouting Hampden-Sydney
H-SC took an important
88-83 road win at ODAC member Guilford on Feb. 14 in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Tigers have been led by a trio of sophomore guards in
Peter Moye (Charlotte, NC) (11.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 41 3FGs),
Santana Lynch (Dallas, TX) (11.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 57% FGs) and
Travis Stickney (Mount Pleasant, SC) (10.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 28 3FGs). Senior guard
Colin Radcliffe (Richlands, NC) (9.9 points, 48 3FGs), sophomore guard
Tugg Bizzelle (Baltimore, MD) (9.3 points, 18 3FGs) and senior forward
Shane Fernald (Charlotte, NC) (9.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 50% FGs) have been consistent contributors, as well. H-SC shoots 45% (628-1389) from the field, including 33% (164-496) on three-point field goals, and 67% (312-467) at the free throw line. The Tigers average 75.3 points, and yield 69.9 points, for a +5.4 scoring margin.
Scouting Randolph
Randolph, coached by second-year head coach Evan Kee, took an 89-80 home win past Bridgewater College on Feb. 14 for its first conference win of the season. The WildCats have been led by freshman guards Aveion Tucker (13.2 points, 4.1 assists, 24 3FGs) and Khalil Caple (11.0 points, 10 3FGs). Randolph shoots 41% (557-1356) from the field, including 31% (164-529) on three-pointers, and 68% (296-438) at the line. The WildCats average 68.4 points, and yield 81.5 points, for a -13.1 scoring margin.
Series History
H-SC and Randolph are playing for the 23rd time since the WildCats joined the ODAC for the 2008-09 season. The Tigers lead the all-time series between the two schools, 15-7, including a
97-61 road win earlier this sesaon on January 21 in Lynchburg. The Garnet & Grey have won seven-straight and eight of the last nine games in the young series, and are 9-1 at home against Randolph. Coach Kimbrough is 7-0 against the WildCats, including 3-0 at home. Randolph did win the first-ever contest between the two schools, 57-49, on Jan. 28, 2009 in Lynchburg.
NCAA Division III Team Statistics (Top 25)
H-SC ranks second in Division III in rebound margin (11.0) and 16th in rebounds per game (43.0).
ODAC Individual Statistics (Top 10)
Travis Stickney is second in the ODAC in assists (4.1), tied for second in minutes (34.1), tied for sixth in steals (1.5), tied for seventh in rebounding (5.8) and eighth in assist/turnover ratio (1.4).
Santana Lynch is second in rebounding (7.5) and field goal percentage (57.0).
Alex Cannon is second in blocks (1.5).
Colin Radcliffe is seventh in three-pointers (48) and eighth in three-point percentage (34.8).
The Team Three-Point Stat
H-SC has made at least one three-pointer in
545 consecutive games, dating back to a 2005 home game vs. Emory & Henry (12/3, 0-1 3FGA). Ironically, the Tigers won that high-scoring contest ... 130-99 without making a three-pointer.

Leading the Tigers is  senior guard
Grayson Schultz (Moseley), who is a second-year team member serving in the leadership role for the first time. He was a team manager during his first two years at the College, before joining the team for 2024-25. Grayson is the son of Glenn and Paige Schultz and is majoring in economics and business.
Former Tigers Now Division I Head Coaches
H-SC currently has two former basketball team members and graduates of the College that are serving as NCAA Division I head coaches.
Russell Turner '92 is in his 16th year at UC Irvine and
Ryan Odom '96 is in his first season at Virginia and his 10th season as a DI head coach (UMBC, Utah State, VCU). Through Feb. 14, Turner was 338-196 at UCI (17-9 this season) and Odom was 223-120 overall, including 22-3 this season at (14/14)UVA, 52-21 in two years at VCU, 44-25 in two years at USU and 97-60 in five years at UMBC.Â
Griff Aldrich '96 is in his first season as the associate head coach at UVA after serving as head coach at Longwood the past seven seasons where he was 127-100 overall. Additionally,
Ryan Silverfield '03 was named the 35th head football coach at Arkansas on November 30. Silverfield was 50-25 in six years at Memphis, including 8-4 this season.
