ODAC WEEKLY GOLF REPORT
 
HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College sophomore Matthew Teegardin (Charleston, SC) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Co-Golfer of the Week for the period September 30-October 6. Teegardin posted a collegiate-best 54-hole score of four-under par 71-66-72—209 to lead the Tigers to a third-place team finish among 24 teams at one-under par 285-278-288—851, while tying for fifth individually among 127 golfers at the West Pines Collegiate on October 5-6 at the West Pines Golf Club in Douglasville, Georgia.

Teegardin tied for fourth among the tournament field with 13 birdies, adding 33 pars, while tying for sixth in par 4 scoring (3.96, -1), tying for 10th in par 3 scoring (3.00, E) and tying for 21st in par 5 scoring (4.75, -3). Matthew is averaging 72.50 through two events and six rounds, including two rounds of par or better, while also posting new collegiate-bests for 18 (66) and 36 (137) holes. This is the first time that Teegardin has been named the conference (co)golfer of the week during his collegiate career.

H-SC will play again next week at prestigious The Tartan Invitational, a two-day, 54-hole tournament on Oct. 12-13 at the Laurel Valley Golf Club in Ligonier, Pennsylvania.
