RACE RESULTS
FARMVILLE, Va. -- Junior
Jackson Herndon (Chatham) posted a season-best 8K time of 28:32.66 to lead Hampden-Sydney College to a second-place finish at the
Bridgewater Cross Country Invitational on Saturday morning at Bridgewater College. Herndon placed third among 30 runners as the Tigers totaled 61 points to finish second among five teams. The host Eagles won the team race with their 21 points, while BC's Gabe Miller was the individual winner with a time of 27:16.82.
Herndon was followed by senior
Winston Ransone (Midlothian) (29:39.03, 8th), juniors
Kam Maldonado (Palm Bay, FL) (31:03.65, 13th) and
Dylan Evans (Virginia Beach) (31:24.34, 15th), along with sophomore
Jordan Chorbaji (Charlottesville) (33:32.63, 22nd) among the Tigers' top five. Also competing were freshman
Jack Ruble (Floyd) (36:31.26, 24th) and junior
Davis Mills (Sanford, NC) (45:28.41, 30th). Ransone, Maldonado, Evans and Ruble each ran season-best times for the distance, as well.

Cross Country Meeting at Berry, an 8K event hosted by Berry College on Saturday, October 4, at 9 a.m. in Mount Berry, Georgia.
