HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College senior first baseman
Grayson Harris (Moseley) has been named to the
2025 ABCA NCAA Division III Region 6 All-Defensive Team. The teams were announced in all 10 regions, as voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and the process led by the ABCA NCAA Division III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.
Harris started all 41 games he played this season and posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 296 putouts, 24 assists and no errors on 320 total chances while involved in 19 double plays, as well. At the plate, he hit .360 (62-172) with one triple, 10 doubles, 44 runs scored, 20 RBIs, 11 walks, 10 hit by pitches, three sacrifice bunts, two sacrifice flies and a perfect 17-17 stolen bases. Harris had an OPS of .856, a .430 slugging percentage and a .426 on-base percentage. He established a new H-SC season record for at-bats (172) this spring, tied for second in season hits (62) and tied for sixth in season runs, while tied for third in career runs (111), seventh in career hits (156) and tied for ninth in career batting average (.353). Grayson tied for first in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) in fielding percentage, was sixth in total chances and putouts, tied for sixth in hits, eighth in stolen bases, tied for eighth in at-bats and hit by pitches, 13th in runs scored and tied for 24th in batting average.
