HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College junior Chase Sanford (Mechanicsville) has been named to the 2025 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) College Division Baseball All-State Second Team, as announced by the organization today. The 6-1, 200-pound outfielder hit .353 with two home runs and 24 RBIs this past season for the Tigers.

Sanford was previously named Second Team All-ODAC, as well, and started 28 of 37 games with a batting average of .353 (41-116), two home runs, four triples, nine doubles, 26 runs scored, 24 RBIs, 13 walks, five hit by pitches, one sacrifice bunt, five sacrifice flies and 9-11 stolen bases. He had an OPS of .976, a .552 slugging percentage, a .424 on-base percentage and a .959 fielding percentage on 74 total chances (70 putouts, three assists, one error). Chase tied for third in the ODAC in triples, tied for seventh in sacrifice flies, was 21st in slugging percentage and tied for 23rd in stolen bases.
