GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Nationally-ranked No. 18 Hampden-Sydney College posted a final round score of 299 on Wednesday for a 54-hole team score of 295-293-299—887 to finish third among 11 teams at the
2025 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men's Golf Championship played at the Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. Sophomore
Jack Barnes (Manakin Sabot) led the Tigers with his 54-hole one-under par 74-72-69—215 that was fourth individually among the 55 collegiate golfers.
Barnes had six birdies and nine pars during his third round of three-under par 69 on the 6,970-yard, par 72 layout—tying for the third-best round of the final day. He was followed by senior All-American and team captain
Nick Rubino (Charlotte, NC) (71-73-79—223, T-18th), senior
Rece Lott (Fort Worth, TX) (74-75-75—224, T-20th), freshman
Luke Combs (Newport News) (76-73-80—229, T-33rd) and senior
John Hutcheson (Edina, MN) (83-76-76—235, 44th). Rubino, who was announced as the Ted Keller Sportsman of the Year and a member of the All-ODAC Second Team during the awards ceremony, had one birdie and 12 pars during his round of 79 on day three. Lott, who was announced as a member of the All-ODAC Third Team, had two birdies and 12 pars during his three-over round of 75. Hutcheson had one birdie and 12 pars during his four-over round of 76. Combs, who was also announced on the All-ODAC Second Team, had two birdies and 10 pars during his round of 80. Barnes and Rubino were each 18-hole pin flag recipients, while Barnes earned
All-Tournament Team honors for his top six finish.

Barnes tied for first among the tournament field in eagles (1), tied for fourth in both par 3 scoring (3.00, E) and par 4 scoring (4.07, +2), tied for 11th in pars (35), tied for 12th in birdies (9) and tied for 13th in par 5 scoring (4.75, -3). Rubino also tied for first among the tournament field in eagles (1), tied for seventh in both par 3 scoring (3.08, +1) and pars (36), tied for 13th in par 5 scoring (4.75, -3), as well, and tied for 25th in par 4 scoring (4.30, +9). Lott also tied for seventh in pars (36) and tied for ninth in par 4 scoring (4.13, +4). Combs tied for 11th in par 5 scoring (4.67, -4) and tied for 12th in birdies (9), as well. Hutcheson also tied for first among the tournament field in eagles (1) and tied for 23rd in par 5 scoring (4.83, -2).
The University of Lynchburg, ranked eighth nationally in the latest
SCOREBOARD powered by clippd NCAA Division III Men's Golf rankings, won the event with its five-under par 287-290-282—859, while Jonathan McEwen of Washington and Lee University was the individual medalist at 12-under par 65-72-67—204. W&L is ranked first nationally, and finished as runner-up at 297-295-277—869, while McEwen is the top-ranked golfer in Division III, as well.

2025 Division III Men's Golf Championships scheduled for May 20-23 at the Cobblestone Creek Country Club in Victor, New York and the Midvale Country Club in Penfield, New York near Rochester.
