Hampden-Sydney Announces 2026 Baseball Schedule

12/17/2025 4:41:00 PM

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College second-year head baseball coach Michael Mulvey has announced his program's upcoming 2026 Schedule that includes 20 home games among the 40 regular season contests, 20 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) games—11 at home and nine on the road—and participation in two tournaments, highlighted by hosting the four-team H-SC Invitational the weekend of February 20-22 on Yank Bernier Field at the Ty Cobb Ballpark – Wurdeman Stadium.

"The staff is extremely encouraged by the progress the program has made since finishing last season," said Mulvey. "We had a competitive fall with new incoming players making a quick impact, and having some returners make jumps.  We have a very good group of upperclassmen that we will rely on as we begin the season with twenty-four new players to the program. Our non-conference schedule will certainly prepare us for the rigors of the ODAC season with thirteen of our twenty non-conference games being played against Top 100 NPI schools from last season. We got a taste of the postseason last year, and while it was brief, we had some success in it. The program will look to continue to build on that, and the players are hungry to be back playing in 2026 postseason games."

H-SC begins the campaign at the three-team Joe Ferebee Classic hosted by Pfeiffer University on Feb. 14-15 in Misenheimer, North Carolina. The Tigers open against Penn State Berks on Feb. 14 at 11 a.m., before playing Grove City (PA) College on Feb. 15 at 12 p.m. and host Pfeiffer on Feb. 15 at 3 p.m. Grove City participated in the 2025 NCAA Division III Regionals.

The Garnet & Grey will play Muskingum on Feb. 20 at 5 p.m., Wabash on Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. and Franklin & Marshall on Feb. 22 at 3 p.m. Neutral-site games during the three days will be played on Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. (F&M-Wabash) and 3 p.m. (MU-F&M) and Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. (Wabash-MU). Wabash also participated in the 2025 NCAA Regionals.
