10/7/2025 10:33:00 AM

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College seventh-year head basketball coach Caleb Kimbrough has announced his program's upcoming 2025-26 Schedule that once-again features 16 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) games among the 25 regular season contests. The Tigers are looking to make their fourth consecutive NCAA Division III Tournament appearance, and Coach Kimbrough will challenge his team with eight possible opponents—five of the non-conference variety —that participated in the NCAA Tournament a year ago.

"We want to play games that demand our best because that's how you find out who you are as a team," explained Kimbrough. "Every year, our goal is to get the absolute most out of our group, and this schedule gives us every opportunity to do just that."

H-SC opens on the road with its participation in the non-conference TowneBank Tipoff Tournament hosted by ODAC member Virginia Wesleyan University on November 7-8 in Virginia Beach. The Tigers will play UW-La Crosse to open the season on Friday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m., then will play either Keene State (NH) College or host VWU on Saturday, Nov. 8, at either 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. UW-La Crosse advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament last March and Keene State advanced to the second round, while the host Marlins won the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship.

The Tigers will play Maryville (TN) College on Monday, Dec. 29, at 2 p.m., then will play host Emory on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 4 p.m. Emory advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, while Maryville won 21 games before falling in its conference championship.
