Hampden-Sydney B/C Golf Completes Competition At The 76th VSGA Intercollegiate Championship

FINAL RESULTS

CHESTERFIELD, Va. -- Senior Pierce Lambert (Hartfield) posted a second-round score of one-over par 73 on Tuesday for a 36-hole score of six-over par 150 (77-73) to lead Hampden-Sydney College at the 76th Virginia State Golf Association (VSGA) Intercollegiate Championship played at the Lake Chesdin Golf Club in Chesterfield. Pierce tied for second among the 40 collegiate golfers completing competition in the individuals-only tournament.

Pierce Lambert had four birdies and nine pars on day two at the 6,835-yard, par 72 course, and finished the two days with six birdies and 19 pars. He was followed by freshman Hudson Griffin (Pinehurst, NC) (78-74—152, 5th), junior Joseph Weinstein (Midlothian) (79-75—154, T-8th) and sophomore Garnett Hall (Richmond) (76-78—154, T-8th), junior Nick Bernard (Southern Shores, NC) (77-81—158, T-16th), freshman Sam Hahn (Richmond) (80-79—159, T-19th), senior Jack Hoyle (Midlothian) (78-82—160, 21st), junior Peyton Lambert (Hartfield) (80-85—165, T-26th) and senior Jack Davis (Radford) (79-86—165, T-26th), along with junior Tucker Smith (Richmond) (91-82—173, 36th). Freshman Michael Parash (Southampton, NY) (88) withdrew following round one due to an injury.

Griffin had two birdies and 12 pars on day two, finishing with four birdies and 22 pars. Weinstein also had two birdies and 12 pars on day two, finishing with four birdies and 20 pars. Hall had two birdies and nine pars on day two, finishing with six birdies and 16 pars. Bernard had three birdies and eight pars on day two, finishing with five birdies and 18 pars.

H-SC has completed its fall campaign and will compete again next spring in the two-day, 54-hole Port City Classic on March 2-3, 2026 at the Savannah Country Club in Savannah, Georgia.
