Nick Rubino (Charlotte, NC) is leading the Tigers with his four-over par 75 that is tied for 23rd individually among the 108 collegiate golfers.
Rubino posted three birdies and eight pars during his opening round on the 6,778-yard, par 71 layout, and is being followed by senior
Rece Lott (Fort Worth, TX) (78, T-47th), freshman
Oliver Tobin (Charlotte, NC) (79, T-57th), sophomore
Jack Barnes (Manakin Sabot) (81, T-69th) and senior
John Hutcheson (Edina, MN) (84, T-94th). Lott had two birdies and 10 pars. Tobin had four birdies and seven pars. Barnes and Hutcheson each had one birdie and eight pars. The Tigers are only six shots out of eighth place with one round remaining.
