The Tigers dropped their season-opening game at ODAC opponent Roanoke by a score of 66-55 on Jan. 23 in Salem. H-SC was led by senior captain
Jake Hahn/Ruckersville with a game-high 20 points (2-5 3FGs), while adding a team-high nine rebounds. Freshman
DJ Wright/Greensboro, GA finished with 13 points (3-8 3FGs) off the bench for the Tigers in is collegiate debut. Classmate
Adam Brazil/Mooresville, NC earned a starting role in his collegiate debut and added six points (2-3 3FGs) and five rebounds. H-SC shot 33% (22-67) from the field, including 32% (7-22) on three-point field goals, and 80% (4-5) at the free throw line.
Scouting the Hornets
Lynchburg is 2-0 overall, 1-0 in the ODAC, and coached by 13th-year head coach Hilliary Scott. Coach Scott is assisted by Quintin Aldridge, Brian Smith and Dylan Hall.

The Hornets have won two-straight to open the season, including a 95-87 ODAC road win at Eastern Mennonite on Jan. 23. Lynchburg has been led by senior Tharon Suggs (19.0 points, 6.0 assists, 2 3FGs), classmate T.C. Thacker (16.0 points, 16.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.0 steals, 3.0 blocks)—this week's ODAC Player of the Week—and freshman Landon Sutton (10.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2 3FGs). The Hornets are shooting 45% (63-140) from the field, including 33% (14-43) on three-pointers, and 79% (33-42) at the line, while averaging 86.5 points and allowing 76.0 points.
ODAC Series History vs. Lynchburg
H-SC and Lynchburg are playing for the 88th time as ODAC opponents since the 1976-77 season. The Tigers lead the conference series at 65-22, though the Hornets have won the last eight games played between the two programs since 2015-16, including one game last season by a score of 76-51 on Jan. 15, 2020 in Lynchburg.

Jake Hahn scored 12 points, but H-SC dropped a 76-51 ODAC basketball decision on the road at Lynchburg. The visiting Tigers trailed 34-26 at halftime against the host Hornets.
Jack Wyatt finished with nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds for the Tigers. H-SC shot 33% (20-61) from the field, including 14% (3-22) on three-pointers, and 53% (8-15) at the line.

Chance Greene led Lynchburg with his game-high 26 points, including 5-10 three-pointers, adding five assists and three steals. Luke Romeo finished with 12 points for the Hornets, including 4-9 three-pointers in the second half, while T.C. Thacker added a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, along with three assists and three blocks. Lynchburg shot 42% (25-59) from the field, including 34% (12-35) on three-pointers, and 61% (14-23) at the line.
