Only the fourth 20-win season in 20 years, the Tigers’ 22 overall wins, and the 14 ODAC wins, are the most under Kimbrough since he took over prior to 2019-20, and also the program’s highest win totals since 2012-13 (23-5, 14-2)—the last time that H-SC had advanced to the NCAA Tournament, as well. The Tigers were the No. 2 seed for the 2023 ODAC Tournament, advancing to the semifinals at the Salem Civic Center. The Garnet & Grey were ranked No. 18 nationally in the final 2022-23 D3hoops.com Top 25, their highest end-of-season national ranking since 2003-04 (No. 10). H-SC finished with a final overall record of 2-4, including 1-3 in the ODAC, during a 2020-21 season that was severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, limiting the Tigers to only six games—all played on the road—during January and February of 2021, before the College’s Health and Safety Protocols forced an end to the campaign and prevented the program from participating in the post-season ODAC Tournament. The abrupt end to the season came right when it seemed the program was poised to finish strong and make a successful run in the conference tournament. The pandemic-shaped schedule witnessed H-SC playing its first five games in 13 days, and following a pause in the schedule in accordance with health and safety protocols, the Tigers won their second consecutive game just prior to the remainder of the season being canceled. Jake Hahn was named to the All-ODAC Team.
In his first season at H-SC in 2019-20, the Tigers won 12 of 14 games during a mid-season stretch, including a six-game winning streak and a five-game winning streak, toward a final overall record of 14-13 including 8-8 in the ODAC. The 14 wins surpassed the win-total from the previous two seasons combined (10), as the Garnet & Grey earned the No. 8 seed for the 2020 ODAC Tournament, advancing to the quarterfinals (for the first time in three year) at the Salem Civic Center. H-SC finished as one of the most improved teams in NCAA Division III with its +8 turnaround from the previous season. Jack Wyatt was named Second Team All-ODAC, and Jake Hahn was named Third Team All-ODAC.
