Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. -- Hampden-Sydney College dropped a 7-2 non-conference tennis decision to Dickinson (Pa.) College on Monday night in Orlando, Florida. The Tigers are now 1-4 overall, remaining 1-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
DC won two of three matches in doubles, before taking five of six matches in singles. In doubles, junior Matthew Moody/Raleigh, N.C. and sophomore William Driskill/Middleburg won at No. 1, 8-5. Juniors Michael Moody/Raleigh, N.C. and Grayson Burns/Waynesboro fell at No. 2, 5-8. Junior Clark Cummings/Norfolk and freshman Tyler Brice/Rocky Mount, N.C. fell at No. 3, 7-8 (4).
In singles, Cummings won at No. 6 by scores of 6-3, 6-2. Matthew Moody fell at No. 1 by scores of 6-4, 1-6, 0-1 (9-11). Michael Moody fell at No. 2 by scores of 1-6, 4-6. Driskill fell at No. 3 by scores of 1-6, 6-3, 0-1 (4-10). Burns fell at No. 4 by scores of 2-6, 1-6. Brice fell at No. 5 by scores of 3-6, 6-7 (7).
