Big Second Half Lifts Roanoke Over H-SC

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The game was closely contested throughout the first half. The Tigers never led, but Roanoke was never able to lead by more than two goals as the Maroons went into halftime ahead 4-3
  • The first six minutes of the third quarter mirrored much of the first half with the Tigers trailing just 6-5 after a Duncan Morris man-up tally at 9:18, but Roanoke scored the next five to build an insurmountable 11-5 advantage with 10:39 remaining in the contest.
