HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College lacrosse recent graduate Will Palmer (Atlanta, GA), juniors Trey Black (Pinehurst, NC) and Kavin Wood (Cary, NC), along with sophomore Cole Palmer (Atlanta, GA), have each been named a member of the 2025-26 Academic All-District® At-Large Team as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) for NCAA Division III. The team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.

Will Palmer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and business with a minor in environmental studies, graduating on May 9 with Magna cum laude honors while attaining a 3.62 GPA. The Dean's List student was a recipient of the Hurt Science Scholars Program and the Presidential Scholarship, a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Society and a soon to be four-time member of the ODAC All-Academic Team (2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25, 2025-26). On the field, the team captain and goalie started all 19 games and played 949 minutes with 200 saves for a .563 save percentage and a 9.80 goals-against average, adding 25 ground balls and four caused turnovers. He had 12 games with at least 10 saves, including a career-high 17 stops on two occasions, most recently versus Roanoke College on March 21, and yielded three or less goals on three occasions when playing at least 30 minutes toward his 10 wins on the season. Will was a First Team All-ODAC selection, a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Honorable Mention All-American and played in the USILA Senior All-Star Game on May 22.

Trey Black is a government major, and minors in Spanish, with a 3.65 GPA. The Dean's List student serves on the Student Court and is a member of the Kappa Alpha Order Fraternity, and a soon to be three-time member of the ODAC All-Academic Team (2023-24, 2024-25, 2025-26). On the field, the midfielder played in 18 games with three goals and eight assists for 11 points, including a career-high-tying three points (1g, 2a) at Randolph College on April 15. He added 35 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers, while 1-1 on faceoffs.

Kavin Wood is a psychology major, and minors in race and ethnicity studies, with a 3.87 GPA. A Dean's List student, Kavin is a recipient of the Harrison Honors Scholarship and the Middlecourt Scholarship, a member of the Psi Chi Honor Society and the Student-Athlete Mentorship Program, and a soon to be two-time member of the ODAC All-Academic Team (2024-25, 2025-26). On the field, the team captain and attackman started all 17 games he played with 20 goals and a team-high 16 assists for 36 points (second on the team), including a season-high four points on four occasions, most recently versus the University of Mary Washington on March 11. He added nine ground balls and five caused turnovers. Kavin was a Second Team All-ODAC selection.

Cole Palmer is an economics and business major with a 3.56 GPA. A Dean's List student, Cole is a recipient of the Cushing Scholarship and a soon to be two-time member of the ODAC All-Academic Team (2024-25, 2025-26). On the field, the attackman started all 19 games with team-highs of 43 goals and 16 assists for 59 points, including a career-high seven points (4g, 3a) versus Shenandoah University on March 14. He added 47 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers, while 2-2 on faceoffs. Cole was a Second Team All-ODAC selection and a USILA Honorable Mention All-American.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
