THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The score was close through the first 10 minutes with the Tigers ahead 3-2, but three straight scores, including Dylan Curry's first career tally and one with just 0.6 seconds remaining on the clock, made it a 6-2 lead for H-SC after the first quarter
  • Graham Southwick provided Randolph the opening goal of the second quarter, but Hampden-Sydney scored 11 of the next 13 spanning into the third quarter to lead 17-5 with 8:45 remaining in the quarter
  • The WildCats registered the next five goals, but Jack Little, Conor O'Brien, and Ben Carson scored the last three
