#8 Cabrini Upends Hampden-Sydney Lacrosse

RADNOR, PA – Eighth-ranked and undefeated Cabrini College Lacrosse used a seven-goal first quarter to upend Hampden-Sydney 16-9 on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Cavaliers scored four times within the first four minutes of the contest and went up 6-1 with 5:23 remaining in the opening frame
  • H-SC inched within three, 7-4, with 11:19 left in the second quarter, but Cabrini stalled the comeback attempt by notching three of the next four to go into halftime leading 10-5
  • After Cabrini went up by six scores, 12-6, at the 6:10 mark of the third, consecutive goals from Ian Levin (Chapel Hill, NC/East Chapel Hill) found the Tigers down just 12-8 with just over 17 minutes left in the contest
  • The Cavs would score the last goal of the third and added on two more within the first 3:02 of the fourth to put the game out of reach

  • Levin had a career day with four goals and an assist
  • Chandler Shaheen (Richmond, VA/St. Christopher's) pocketed two goals
  • Hunter Brown (Charlottesville, VA/Albemarle) added on a goal and an assist with a team-high four ground balls
  • Jared Arntzen (Atlanta, VA/Blue Ridge) went 8-for-16 on face-offs
  • Grant Osterlund (Monument, CO/Palmer Ridge) saw 47 minutes in the cage and posted 10 saves
