A key game for both teams for positioning in the ODAC standings, Roanoke will be looking to go 4-0 to keep pace with Washington and Lee atop the ODAC standings. Meanwhile, the Tigers are seeking to stay just one game behind Washington and Lee. 

The two squads have had three common opponents thus far in Randolph-Macon, Christopher Newport, and Salisbury. Both teams handled Randolph-Macon with the Maroons winning 18-5 while the Tigers cruised to a 14-7 win. H-SC lost to CNU 9-6 while Roanoke lost 11-7. H-SC competed with Salisbury throughout the game before falling 12-7 while Salisbury comfortably defeated Roanoke 14-6.

The Tigers and the Maroons come into the game with some winning momentum. The Tigers have won three straight games while Roanoke defeated Randolph 11-7 on Wednesday.
