HOW IT HAPPENED

• All three doubles contests were close battles, with David Anderson (Williamsburg, VA/Lafayette) and Max Henderson (Lynchburg, VA/Liberty Christian) following narrowly short at 8-6, but the Knights swept all three doubles matches
• Nathan Horvit (Columbia, MO/Rock Bridge) won at #5 singles 6-1, 1-6, 6-1
• Several other Tigers went toe-to-toe with their Knight counterpart, including Trent Singleton (Richmond, VA/Douglas S. Freeman) narrowly falling 7-6 (8-6), 1-6, 6-10 at the #1 singles flight
• Henderson came within inches of winning at the #6 spot with a decision of 6-7, 6-7 (6-8)
