Tiger Lacrosse Gets Back on Track with 13-6 Win Over Ferrum

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA – Hampden-Sydney Lacrosse got back on track as the Tigers breezed past Ferrum College 13-6 on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Hampden-Sydney scored seven of the first eight goals of the game and went into halftime leading 7-2.
  • Ferrum opened the second half strong, notching two of the first three goals to trail just 8-4, but back-to-back Ian Levin (Chapel Hill, NC/East Chapel Hill) goals gave H-SC a 10-4 lead before Marcus Boyer's man-up goal just before the buzzer kept it a five-goal game
  • The Tigers put the game away early in the fourth quarter behind scores from Connor Pool (Charlotte, NC/Charlotte Catholic), Jake Koferl (Huntersville, NC/Lake Norman), and Jack Doetzer (Holly Spring, NC/Middle Creek).

  • Levin posted a game-high four points on three goals and an assist
  • Koferl matched Levin's four points as he produced two goals and two assists
  • Connor Pool (Charlotte, NC/Charlotte Catholic) posted three scores
