HOW IT HAPPENED

  • With the Tigers leading 4-2 after six minutes of play, H-SC scored the next five goals to break open the game and take a commanding 9-2 lead at the 12:55 mark of the second quarter
  • Methodist kept the game within six, 10-4, at the 10:18 mark of the second, but the Tigers went on another big scoring spree, scoring six goals to finish out the second quarter with three of them coming in the last 1:24

TIGER TOP PERFORMERS

  • Morris needed just 10 shots to score his eight goals, with seven of them coming in the first half. His only time on the field in the second half was a man-up possession that he scored on
  • Connor Pool (Charlotte, NC/Charlotte Catholic), Chandler Shaheen (Richmond, VA/St. Christopher's), and Ian Levin (Chapel Hill, NC/East Chapel Hill) each found the back of the net twice while Shaheen and Levin also contributed an assist
  • Hunter Brown (Charlottesville, VA/Albemarle) scored once and assisted on three other goals
  • Jack Little (San Diego, CA/La Jolla Country Day) handed out two assists
  • Jared Arntzen (Atlanta, VA/Blue Ridge) won 15-of-21 face-offs to go with a game-high seven ground balls
  • Grant Osterlund (Monument, CO/Palmer Ridge) played the entire second half in the cage to make eight saves
