Connor Pool Scores Five as H-SC Lacrosse Beats Greensboro 15-8

GREENSBORO, NC – Connor Pool scored a career-high five goals to help lead Hampden-Sydney Lacrosse to a 15-8 win over Greensboro College.

  • Jonathan Avedesian put the Pride on the scoreboard first at 13:58, but Pool tied the game at 11:27 and Duncan Morris provided the Tigers with the lead at 10:06
  • Pool scored a man-up tally at 4:31 but Avedesian drew Greensboro back within one just a minute later
  • Pool and Ian Levin scored goals just 12 seconds apart to give the Tigers a 5-2 advantage with 2:09 left in the first quarter
  • Jake Koferl and Chandler Shaheen scored within the first 3:30 of the second quarter to put the Tigers out in front by five, and Gianni Gonzalez scored the last goal of the half for Greensboro with 10:56 left on the clock
  • A pair of goals to open the third quarter drew Greensboro within two, 7-5, with 11:39 left in the frame, but H-SC would score the next eight goals spanning into the fourth quarter to race ahead 15-5
