Comeback Falls Short as W&L Defeats H-SC 6-5 in ODAC Tournament Quarterfinals

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA – Washington and Lee University used a six goal second quarter to defeat Hampden-Sydney Lacrosse 6-5 in the ODAC Tournament Quarterfinals. The Tigers end the season 9-7.

  • Garrett Paglia posted the game-winning tally at the 48-second mark of the second quarter following a Tigers turnover when they were looking to hold the ball for the final shot.
  • H-SC got the ball back and cleared it with 2:35 left. An Abbot Wallenborn (Crozet, VA / Western Albemarle) shot narrowly hit the outside of the right post with 42 seconds left but another turnover with a scramble for a loose ball run out the clock.
