AMHERST, VA – Hampden-Sydney Tennis dropped a 6-3 decision to Emory & Henry in a match played at Sweet Briar College.

Patrick Bryant (Raleigh, NC / Broughton) and David Anderson (Williamsburg, VA / Lafayette) won the #1 doubles flight 8-6. Trent Singleton (Richmond, VA / Douglas S. Freeman) and Nathan Horvit (Columbia, MO / Rock Bridge) forced a tiebreaker in the #2 match but fell 9-8 (7-1). Bryant posted his second win of the day with an impressive 6-1, 6-2 victory at the #2 singles flight. Horvit narrowly lost the opening set at the #4 spot 7-6 (10-8) but rebounded to take win 6-4, 10-8.

Hampden-Sydney hosts Guilford College on Wednesday at 3 pm.
