Hampden-Sydney Picked Seventh In ODAC Men's Tennis Coaches Poll

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College has been picked seventh in the 2026 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men's Tennis Coaches Poll. The Tigers garnered 47 points, which placed them seventh among 11 schools. H-SC finished 13-8 overall last season and 7-2 in the ODAC to finish third.
 
Washington and Lee University was picked to finish first with 99 points and nine of the 11 first-place votes. Defending ODAC Champions Averett University are second with 88 points and one first-place vote, Virginia Wesleyan University is third with 78 points, Shenandoah University is fourth with 75 points, Randolph College is fifth with 67 points, and the final first-place vote, the University of Lynchburg is sixth with 52 points, and is followed by H-SC in seventh with 47 points. Following the Tigers are Guilford (NC) College (36), Roanoke College (34), Bridgewater College (17), and Randolph-Macon College (12).
 
The Tigers bring back seven of their lettermen from last season. They will be led by Second Team All-ODAC Doubles and Singles honoree from last season, junior Thomas Davis (Charlotte, NC), along with seniors Casey Coffey (Midlothian) and Dillon McReynolds (Abingdon), and sophomore Emerson Rice (Columbia, SC).
 
H-SC will be led by first-year head tennis coach Grayson Burns '20.
 
The Garnet and Grey open the spring season on the road against Belmont Abbey College on February 18.
