The #1 seed Yellow Jackets have an overall record of 24-2, advancing with a 94-73 home win past #8 seed Guilford (NC) College on Feb. 24. Head Coach Caleb Kimbrough
H-SC is led by the seventh-year head coach who took over the program on April 4, 2019. The former head coach at Huntingdon (AL) College from 2016-19, Kimbrough is the 19th head coach in the 116-year history of the storied Hampden-Sydney program. He is no stranger to the ODAC, having played four years at Guilford and coached six years with the Quakers, and one year at Washington and Lee University. Kimbrough is 123-53 at the College, ranking sixth in program coaching wins, while his current winning percentage (.699) ranks second all-time. He is a two-time National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III District 6 Coach of the Year (2022-23, 2023-24), was the 2022-23 ODAC Men's Basketball Bob Johnson Coach of the Year and the 2024-25 D3hoops.com Region 6 Coach of the Year.

H-SC has four-straight wins and five wins in its last six games overall. The Tigers have been led by their

Peter Moye (Charlotte, NC) (12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 45 3FGs),
Santana Lynch (Dallas, TX) (11.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 57% FGs) and
Travis Stickney (Mount Pleasant, SC) (10.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 32 3FGs), along with senior guard
Colin Radcliffe (Richlands, NC) (10.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 60 3FGs). Senior forward
Shane Fernald (Charlotte, NC) (9.1 points, 5.0 rebounds) and sophomore guard
Tugg Bizzelle (Baltimore, MD) (8.8 points, 18 3FGs) have each been consistent contributors, as well. H-SC shoots 45% (707-1574) from the field, including 33% (190-576) on three-point field goals, and 68% (359-528) at the free throw line. The Tigers average 75.5 points, and yield 68.0 points, for a +7.5 scoring margin.
Scouting No. 1 Randolph-Macon
RMC, coached by 11th-year head coach Josh Merkel, has 10-straight wins and 13 wins in its last 14 games overall. The
top-ranked Yellow Jackets have been led by senior guards Jabril Robinson (13.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 48 3FGs) and Keishawn Pulley Jr. (10.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 51 3FGs), while junior guard Theo Antinori (9.4 points, 38 3FGs) has been a consistent contributor. RMC shoots 51% (796-1568) from the field, including 38% (229-598) on three-pointers, and 71% (306-429) at the line. The Yellow Jackets average 81.8 points, and yield 57.0 points, for a +24.8 scoring margin.
Series History
H-SC and RMC are playing for the 174th time since the 1949-50 season. The Yellow Jackets lead the overall series, 105-68, including 53-33 as members of the ODAC in men's basketball since 1989-90. RMC has won both games between the two schools this season, including a
69-53 road win on Feb. 4, and an
85-50 home win on December 3, 2025. The Tigers won both games last season (2024-25), including an 84-77 home win on November 13, 2024, and a 79-72 road win on December 7, 2024. H-SC and the Yellow Jackets have split the last six games between the two schools (3-3). Coach Kimbrough is 3-11 all-time against RMC since taking over the program prior to 2019-20, including an 80-61 loss in the ODAC Tournament Quarterfinals on Feb. 28, 2020 at the Salem Civic Center, also the last time the two schools have played each other during the postseason in Salem.
ODAC Tournament History
H-SC is now 64-36 (.640) all-time in ODAC Tournament games. The Tigers have played in a record 16 ODAC Tournament Championship games, and won a record 11 ODAC Tournament Titles, while the 64 tournament wins are the most of any conference school, as well. H-SC most recently won the conference tournament championship in 2024, defeating Washington and Lee 81-56. The Tigers had won 10 ODAC Tournament Championships during a 19-year span from 1989-2007.
Another Level
Peter Moye has taken his game to another level this season ... averaging 12.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in 26 games, while shooting 46% (112-245) from the field, including 35% (45-128) on three-point field goals, and 84% (42-50) at the free throw line. He has a team-best 18 double-figure scoring games, including a career-high 21 points at Eastern Mennonite (12/6)—making a career-high five three-pointers. Moye had a career-high 11 rebounds vs. Washington and Lee (2/21), and posted his first career double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds vs. Lynchburg (2/24). Peter played in 23 games last season, averaging 4.5 points and 1.8 rebounds.
Another Level 2.0Â
Santana Lynch has also taken his game to another level this season ... averaging 11.7 points and 7.5 rebounds in 19 games, while shooting 57% (86-151) from the field and 70% (45-64) at the free throw line. He has 14 double-figure scoring games, including a career-high 19 points vs. Pfeiffer (11/23). Lynch has a team-best five double-figure rebounding games for a team-best five double-doubles, including a career-high 14 rebounds vs. Guilford (1/7). Santana was limited to four games early last season before a season-ending injury in December.
Mr. Consistency
Travis Stickney remains steady and consistent as a second year starter (54 of 55 career games), averaging 10.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 26 games, while shooting 38% (99-262) from the field, including 29% (32-109) on three-point field goals, and 76% (45-59) at the free throw line. He has 13 double-figure scoring games, including a career-high 30 points vs. (11)Redlands (12/20), and also has career-highs of 11 rebounds at (RV)Roanoke (1/14), 12 assists vs. Lynchburg (1/17) and seven steals vs. (7)UW-La Crosse (11/7). Travis started all 29 games last season, averaging 7.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
Three-Point Specialist
Colin Radcliffe established a new school record for three-point field goals in a game with 10 vs. Eastern Mennonite (1/31). He was 10 of 21 from beyond the arc for the new standard, surpassing the previous record of nine three-pointers by
Ayman McGowan '25, ironically accomplished last season at home vs. the Royals (2/22/25). Radcliffe has taken 164 three-point attempts this season, which is 74% of his total field goal attempts (221) ... averaging 10.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in 24 games, while shooting 39% (85-221) from the field, including 37% (60-164) on three-pointers, and 82% (22-27) at the free throw line. He has 12 double-figure scoring games, including a career-high 30 points vs. EMU (1/31) with the career-high and school-record 10 three-pointers vs. the Royals, and a career-high eight rebounds vs. Washington and Lee (2/21).
Another Level 3.0
Tugg Bizzelle has taken his game to another level this season, as well ... averaging 8.8 points in 25 games, while shooting 40% (74-186) from the field, including 36% (18-51) on three-point field goals, and 62% (53-86) at the free throw line. He has 10 double-figure scoring games, including a career-high 22 points at Lynchburg (2/11), along with a career-high 10 rebounds vs. Eastern Mennonite (1/31). Tugg started three of 29 games last season, averaging 3.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
Blocking Skills
Junior center Alex Cannon (Loganville, GA) has taken advantage of his 6-9 height this season as evidenced by his 36 blocks ... averaging 1.4 blocks per game that ranks second in the ODAC. He is averaging career-highs of 5.3 points and 5.8 rebounds in 25 games, while shooting 64% (56-88) from the field. Alex has two double-figure scoring games, including a career-high 10 points on two occasions, most recent at Guilford (2/14). He has three double-figure rebounding games with one double-double, including a career-high 12 rebounds vs. Guilford (1/7), along with a season-high four blocks on two occasions, most recent vs. (11)Redlands (12/20).
NCAA Division III Team Statistics (Top 25)
H-SC ranks second in Division III in rebound margin (11.4), ninth in rebounds per game (43.9), 15th in defensive rebounds per game (29.7), 20th in field goal percentage defense (39.5) and 28th in offensive rebounds per game (14.2).
ODAC Individual Statistics (Top 10)
Santana Lynch leads the ODAC in rebounding (7.5) and field goal percentage (57.0).
Travis Stickney is second in assists (4.3), third in minutes (33.8), tied for sixth in assist/turnover ratio (1.5), tied for seventh in steals (1.4) and ninth in rebounding (6.0).
Alex Cannon is second in blocks (1.5) and 10th in rebounding (5.8).
Colin Radcliffe is tied for third in three-pointers (60) and seventh in three-point percentage (36.6).
The Team Three-Point Stat
H-SC has made at least one three-pointer in
548Â consecutive games, dating back to a 2005 home game vs. Emory & Henry (12/3, 0-1 3FGA). Ironically, the Tigers won that high-scoring contest ... 130-99 without making a three-pointer.
2025-26 Team Captain
Leading the Tigers is  senior guard
Grayson Schultz (Moseley), who is a second-year team member serving in the leadership role for the first time. He was a team manager during his first two years at the College, before joining the team for 2024-25. Grayson is the son of Glenn and Paige Schultz and is majoring in economics and business.
Former Tigers Now Division I Head Coaches
H-SC currently has two former basketball team members and graduates of the College that are serving as NCAA Division I head coaches.
Russell Turner '92 is in his 16th year at UC Irvine and
Ryan Odom '96 is in his first season at Virginia and his 10th season as a DI head coach (UMBC, Utah State, VCU). Through Feb. 25, Turner was 339-197 at UCI (18-10 this season) and Odom was 226-120 overall, including 25-3 this season at (11/12)UVA, 52-21 in two years at VCU, 44-25 in two years at USU and 97-60 in five years at UMBC.Â
Griff Aldrich '96 is in his first season as the associate head coach at UVA after serving as head coach at Longwood the past seven seasons where he was 127-100 overall. Additionally,
Ryan Silverfield '03 was named the 35th head football coach at Arkansas on November 30. Silverfield was 50-25 in six years at Memphis, including 8-4 this season.
