HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College is hosting the University of Lynchburg in 2026 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men's Basketball Tournament Quarterfinal action on Tuesday night, February 24, at 7 p.m. on Tony Shaver Court in Diaz Arena at Kirby Field House. The host Tigers completed their regular season with an overall record of 16-9, including 10-6 in the ODAC, to finish fourth among the 12 conference schools and earn the #4 seed for the postseason tournament. Lynchburg finished at 14-11 overall, including 9-7 in the ODAC, to tie for fifth and earn the #5 seed. The game can be heard locally on WVHL Radio, Kickin' Country 92.9 FM with pregame at 6:30 p.m., and will also be available worldwide on the Internet at

Head Coach Caleb Kimbrough
H-SC is led by the seventh-year head coach who took over the program on April 4, 2019. The former head coach at Huntingdon (AL) College from 2016-19, Kimbrough is the 19th head coach in the 116-year history of the storied Hampden-Sydney program. He is no stranger to the ODAC, having played four years at Guilford (NC) College and coached six years with the Quakers, and one year at Washington and Lee University. Kimbrough is 122-53 at the College, ranking sixth in program coaching wins, while his current winning percentage (.697) ranks second all-time. He is a two-time National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III District 6 Coach of the Year (2022-23, 2023-24), was the 2022-23 ODAC Men's Basketball Bob Johnson Coach of the Year and the 2024-25 D3hoops.com Region 6 Coach of the Year.

H-SC closed the regular season with three-straight wins and four wins in its last five games overall, including a
69-57 home win past ODAC member Washington and Lee on Feb. 21 in Diaz Arena. The Tigers have been led by sophomore guards
Peter Moye (Charlotte, NC) (11.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 44 3FGs) and
Santana Lynch (Dallas, TX) (11.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 57% FGs), senior guard
Colin Radcliffe (Richlands, NC) (10.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 57 3FGs) and sophomore guard
Travis Stickney (Mount Pleasant, SC) (10.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 30 3FGs). Sophomore guard
Tugg Bizzelle (Baltimore, MD) (9.0 points, 18 3FGs) has been a consistent contributor, as well. H-SC shoots 45% (678-1516) from the field, including 33% (184-553) on three-point field goals, and 68% (341-505) at the free throw line. The Tigers average 75.2 points, and yield 68.0 points, for a +7.2 scoring margin.
Scouting Lynchburg
Lynchburg, coached by 18th-year head coach Hilliary Scott, lost at home to ODAC member Virginia Wesleyan University 81-76 on Feb. 21. The Hornets closed with two-straight losses, and have been led by sophomore forward Jamarcus Brown (20.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 58 % FGs) and senior forward Jayson Easton (11.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 62 3FGs). Lynchburg shoots 46% (712-1564) from the field, including 33% (191-586) on three-pointers, and 67% (362-538) at the line. The Hornets average 79.1 points, and yield 74.0 points, for a +5.1 scoring margin.
Series History
H-SC and Lynchburg are playing for the 98th time since formation of the ODAC for the 1976-77 season. The Tigers lead the series at 71-26, including an
87-81 home win last month on January 17 in Diaz Arena. The Hornets, however, took a
77-67 home win earlier this month on Feb. 11, and Lynchburg also eliminated the Garnet & Grey from last season's ODAC Tournament with its
72-66 quarterfinal road win on Feb. 26, 2025. Coach Kimbrough is currently 6-5 against the Hornets since taking over the H-SC program prior to 2019-20, including 3-1 at home.
ODAC Tournament History
H-SC is 63-36 all-time in ODAC Tournament games. The Tigers have played in a record 16 ODAC Tournament Championship games, winning a record 11 ODAC Tournament Titles. The 63 tournament wins are the most of any conference school, as well. H-SC most recently won the conference tournament championship in 2024, defeating Washington and Lee 81-56. The Tigers won eight ODAC Tournament Championships from 1989-2002.
Another Level
Peter Moye has taken his game to another level this season ... averaging 11.8 points and 3.7 rebounds in 25 games, while shooting 45% (106-234) from the field, including 36% (44-124) on three-point field goals, and 83% (39-47) at the free throw line. He has a team-best 17 double-figure scoring games, including a career-high 21 points at Eastern Mennonite (12/6)—making a career-high five three-pointers. Moye grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds vs. Washington and Lee (2/21). Peter played in 23 games last season, averaging 4.5 points and 1.8 rebounds.
Another Level 2.0Â
Santana Lynch has also taken his game to another level this season ... averaging 11.7 points and 7.5 rebounds in 19 games, while shooting 57% (86-151) from the field and 70% (45-64) at the free throw line. He has 14 double-figure scoring games, including a career-high 19 points vs. Pfeiffer (11/23). Lynch also has a team-best five double-figure rebounding games for a team-best five double-doubles, including a career-high 14 rebounds vs. Guilford (1/7). Santana was limited to four games early last season before a season-ending injury in December.
Three-Point Specialist
Colin Radcliffe established a new school record for three-point field goals in a game with 10 vs. Eastern Mennonite (1/31). He was 10 of 21 from beyond the arc for the new standard, surpassing the previous record of nine three-pointers by Ayman McGowan '25, ironically accomplished last season at home vs. the Royals (2/22/25). Radcliffe has taken 156 three-point attempts this season, which is 74% of his total field goal attempts (210) ... averaging 10.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 23 games, while shooting 38% (80-210) from the field, including 37% (57-156) on three-pointers, and 82% (22-27) at the free throw line. He has 11 double-figure scoring games, including a career-high 30 points vs. EMU (1/31) with the career-high and school-record 10 three-pointers vs. the Royals, and a career-high eight rebounds vs. Washington and Lee (2/21).
Mr. Consistency
Travis Stickney remains steady and consistent as a second year starter (53 of 54 career games), averaging 10.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 25 games, while shooting 38% (94-251) from the field, including 29% (30-104) on three-point field goals, and 77% (38-49) at the free throw line. He has 12 double-figure scoring games, including a career-high 30 points vs. (11)Redlands (12/20), and also has career-highs of 11 rebounds at (RV)Roanoke (1/14), 12 assists vs. Lynchburg (1/17) and seven steals vs. (7)UW-La Crosse (11/7). Travis started all 29 games last season, averaging 7.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
Another Level 3.0
Tugg Bizzelle has taken his game to another level this season, as well ... averaging 9.0 points in 24 games, while shooting 40% (73-182) from the field, including 36% (18-50) on three-point field goals, and 62% (53-86) at the free throw line. He has 10 double-figure scoring games, including a career-high 22 points at Lynchburg (2/11), along with a career-high 10 rebounds vs. Eastern Mennonite (1/31). Tugg started three of 29 games last season, averaging 3.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
Blocking Skills
Junior center Alex Cannon (Loganville, GA) has taken advantage of his 6-9 height this season as evidenced by his 35 blocks ... averaging 1.5 blocks per game that ranks second in the ODAC. He is averaging career-highs of 5.3 points and 5.7 rebounds in 24 games, while shooting 64% (54-85) from the field. Alex has two double-figure scoring games, including a career-high 10 points on two occasions, most recent at Guilford (2/14). He has three double-figure rebounding games with one double-double, including a career-high 12 rebounds vs. Guilford (1/7), along with a season-high four blocks on two occasions, most recent vs. (11)Redlands (12/20).
NCAA Division III Team Statistics (Top 25)
H-SC ranks second in Division III in rebound margin (11.6), ninth in rebounds per game (43.8), 22nd in field goal percentage defense (39.7) and defensive rebounds per game (29.4) and 24th in offensive rebounds per game (14.4).
ODAC Individual Statistics (Top 10)
Travis Stickney is second in the ODAC in assists (4.2) per game, third in minutes (33.8), tied for sixth in assist/turnover ratio (1.5), tied for seventh in steals (1.4) and ninth in rebounding (5.9).
Santana Lynch is second in rebounding (7.5) and field goal percentage (57.0).
 Alex Cannon is second in blocks (1.5) and tied for 10th in rebounding (5.7).
Colin Radcliffe is third in three-pointers (57) and seventh in three-point percentage (36.5).
The Team Three-Point Stat
H-SC has made at least one three-pointer in
547Â consecutive games, dating back to a 2005 home game vs. Emory & Henry (12/3, 0-1 3FGA). Ironically, the Tigers won that high-scoring contest ... 130-99 without making a three-pointer.
2025-26 Team Captain
Leading the Tigers is  senior guard
Grayson Schultz (Moseley), who is a second-year team member serving in the leadership role for the first time. He was a team manager during his first two years at the College, before joining the team for 2024-25. Grayson is the son of Glenn and Paige Schultz and is majoring in economics and business.
Former Tigers Now Division I Head Coaches
H-SC currently has two former basketball team members and graduates of the College that are serving as NCAA Division I head coaches.
Russell Turner '92 is in his 16th year at UC Irvine and
Ryan Odom '96 is in his first season at Virginia and his 10th season as a DI head coach (UMBC, Utah State, VCU). Through Feb. 21, Turner was 339-197 at UCI (18-10 this season) and Odom was 225-120 overall, including 24-3 this season at (14/14)UVA, 52-21 in two years at VCU, 44-25 in two years at USU and 97-60 in five years at UMBC.Â
Griff Aldrich '96 is in his first season as the associate head coach at UVA after serving as head coach at Longwood the past seven seasons where he was 127-100 overall. Additionally,
Ryan Silverfield '03 was named the 35th head football coach at Arkansas on November 30. Silverfield was 50-25 in six years at Memphis, including 8-4 this season.
