Box Score SALEM, Va. -- Senior Barrett Foster (Virginia Beach), junior Dillon McReynolds (Abingdon), and freshmen Jonathan Fogle (Midlothian) and Emerson Rice (Columbia, SC) took singles and doubles victories to help lead Hampden-Sydney College to a 6-1 win over Roanoke College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play Saturday afternoon.

H-SC grabbed a point in doubles action as McReynolds paired up with Fogle in the third doubles slot and took a 6-0 win. The top doubles slot secured the point with Foster and sophomore Thomas Davis (Charlotte, NC) taking a 6-1 win. The number two doubles pairing of junior Casey Coffey (Midlothian) and Rice took a 6-2 win to close out doubles action.

In the top singles match, Foster grabbed a 6-2, 6-4 win and was followed up in the second singles match by a 6-1, 6-1 win by Rice. McReynolds won in the third singles match with a 6-0, 6-2 win, and senior Henry Singleton (Richmond) grabbed a 6-2, 6-1 win in the fourth singles match. Fogle fell behind early with a 6-3 loss in the first set but bounced back with a 6-2 win in the second set. In the final set, he won the tiebreaker 10-2 to take the set 1-0 and the overall match 3-6, 6-2, 1(10)-0(2). In the fifth singles match, senior Taylor Fox (Virginia Beach) jumped out to an early lead with a 6-3 win in in the first set but fell 7-5 in the second set to play a third and decisive set. In the final set, Fox fell in the third set tiebreaker 10-8 to drop the match 6-3, 5-7, 0(8)-1(10).

The Tigers will be back in action on Friday, April 18, when they travel to rival Randolph-Macon College. The match is scheduled to begin a 4:00 p.m. at Banks Tennis Center.
