ODAC WEEKLY REPORT

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Senior team captain Barrett Foster (Virginia Beach) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the period of March 10-16. Foster went 9-1 overall between singles and doubles over six matches in Orlando, Florida.

Foster, went 5-0 in doubles matches with his partner sophomore Thomas Davis (Charlotte, NC), and went 4-1 in singles matches over spring break. He opened with a 6-4, 7-5 singles victory and 6-3 doubles victory in a 7-0 win over Maryville (TN) College. He earned a doubles victory against No. 5 Case Western Reserve (OH) University 6-4, but took his only loss in singles action 6-4, 6-4. Later that day he rebounded against Ohio Northern University with a 6-0, 6-4 singles victory and a 7-5 doubles win to help secure a 6-1 win. Against the University of Saint Joseph (CT) he took a 6-2, 6-2 singles win and a 6-3 doubles win to propel H-SC to a 6-1 win. Against Connecticut College, he took two of three match wins with a 4-6, 6-0, 1-0 win in singles action and a 6-4 win in doubles action.

Foster is 11-5 in singles action this season, while having a 6-1 singles record in the fall, and is 5-4 in spring dual matches. In doubles matches, he went 6-3 in the fall and has posted an 8-1 record in spring dual matches, with the only defeat coming against Division I College of Charleston (SC).

Foster and the Tigers will be back in action on Friday, March 21, when they travel to Averett University to start ODAC play against the Cougars. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at the Averett Tennis Courts.
