Box Score FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Senior Barrett Foster (Virginia Beach) and sophomore Thomas Davis (Charlotte, NC) reached the championship doubles round of 16 as a pairing as Hampden-Sydney College competed in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) South/Southeast Regional, Friday through Sunday at the University of Mary Washington. Freshman Emerson Rice (Columbia, SC) also competed in the event, participating in the championship singles only.

In the championship doubles for Foster and Davis, they took a 6-1 win in the round of 64 and followed it up with another dominant win in the round of 32 with an 8-1 scoreline. In the round of 16, the duo was beaten in a close match, falling 8-5.

Foster and Rice both competed in the championship singles draw, and Rice dropped his round of 64 match by an 8-0 scoreline. In the round of 32 consolation match, Rice took an 8-0 win in the final match he played, as the consolation bracket was not finished. Foster in his round of 64 match took an 8-0 win but in the round of 32 was beaten 8-4 to end his championship singles campaign.

This marked the final event for the Tigers this fall. They will return to action when the spring season begins in February.
