Box Score HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Seniors Barrett Foster (Virginia Beach), Henry Singleton (Richmond), and Matt Kendrick (Birmingham, AL), as well as sophomore Thomas Davis (Charlotte, NC) all went undefeated in singles and doubles as Hampden-Sydney College hosted the Hampden-Sydney Tiger Invite on September 13-14.

"I am overjoyed with how the weekend went. The Hampden-Sydney Tennis program should feel an immense amount of pride in the event as a whole and how we competed," said head coach Byron Balkin. "We had many players win their respective draws and a few going undefeated in both doubles and singles."

We debuted our new TowneBank Scoreboard and viewing area, creating a wonderful experience for both players and fans," added Balkin. "I want to thank TowneBank Chairman Mr. G. Robert Aston Jr. and CEO Billy Foster for supporting the Hampden-Sydney Tennis program. Scoreboards in Division III tennis are rare, and I can't think of more than a few schools with them. We want our players to feel awesome playing at home and to have recruits come to campus and say, 'Wow, this is a place I want to play and attend school for four years.' This addition will greatly enhance our players' experience and move our program upwards and onwards for years to come."

Doubles action was broken up into four draws for the invite. In the doubles draw 1, Foster and Davis took a 6-1 win in the semifinal to reach the final. In the final, the pair played a close game, going into tiebreakers but ended up taking the match 7(8)-6(6)
