ODAC WEEKLY REPORT

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. --
Hampden-Sydney College senior linebacker and team captain Brendan Wallace (Virginia Beach) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Football Defensive Player of the Week for games played November 2. He was selected for his outstanding efforts during a 28-21 ODAC road win at Bridgewater College, and this is the second time this season that Brendan has earned the weekly distinction, as he was also the ODAC's Defensive Player of the Week for games played October 5.

Brendan had a game-high 10 tackles at BC, including nine solo stops, with one tackle for loss, two QB hurries, one pass breakup and one fumble recovered to lead H-SC to its triumph. He had four tackles, including the tackle for loss, and the pass breakup in the first quarter as the Tigers jumped out to an early 10-0 advantage—limiting the Eagles to 68 yards on 19 plays (3.6). Through eight games, Brendan leads the Garnet & Grey with 65 tackles, including 32 solo, with 11.5 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks, three QB hurries, one pass breakup and two fumbles recovered. He is tied for first in the ODAC in sacks, second in tackles for loss (39th in Division III), tied for second in fumbles recovered and fifth in tackles.

H-SC (5-3, 3-2) will play on the road again this week at ODAC member Shenandoah University on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m. in Winchester. The Tigers and Hornets (6-2, 3-2) are currently in a three-way tie (with BC) for third place in the conference standings.
