Brendan Wallace (Virginia Beach) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC)
Football Defensive Player of the Week for games played October 5. Brendan was selected for his outstanding efforts during a 31-0 shutout victory past visiting ODAC opponent Guilford (NC) College on Fulton Field at Lewis C. Everett Stadium.

Brendan had a career-high and game-high 13 tackles, including two for loss with one sack, to lead H-SC to its home triumph. He had five tackles in the first quarter and followed with four tackles each in the second and third quarters, posting his sack for a seven-yard loss early in the second quarter, ultimately leading the Tigers to their first shutout since March 5, 2021 (during the COVID-19 spring season, 26-0 vs. Shenandoah). Through four games, Brendan leads the Garnet & Grey with 31 total tackles, including 12 solo, with a team-best 7.5 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks and one fumble recovery. He is the ODAC leader in tackles for loss and sacks (eighth nationally), is tied for second in fumble recoveries, and tied for sixth in total tackles.
H-SC (3-1, 1-0) will play on the road next week at ODAC member Washington and Lee University on Saturday, October 12, at 1 p.m. in Lexington.
