HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College junior quarterback
Connor Creech (Winston-Salem, NC) has been named the
Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Offensive Player of the Week for games played November 7. Creech (20-26-0) passed for game-highs and career-highs of 291 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions during a 54-0 road win at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater.
Creech tossed all four TDs in the first half against the Eagles, including two to sophomore wide receiver
Max Nitti (Appomattox) covering 43 and three yards, one to senior tight end
Kam Mahoney (Bristow) covering 11 yards and one to senior wide receiver
Manning Lasso (Raleigh, NC) covering 15 yards as the Tigers led 37-0 at halftime. It was his second-straight game with four TD passes. Creech has now passed for 1,371 yards (107-164-6) and 15 touchdowns with six interceptions thrown in eight games, and adds 185 yards rushing on 54 attempts and seven touchdowns on the ground this season. Connor is third in the ODAC in passing efficiency (158.3), passing touchdowns, total offense (1,556) and total offense per game (194.5), fourth in passing yards, passing yards per game (171.4) and completion percentage (65.2), tied for fourth in touchdowns (7), tied for fifth in points per game (5.3) and tied for sixth in points (42).
H-SC (8-1, 6-0) will host archrival Randolph-Macon College (7-2, 5-1) for the ODAC Championship and automatic qualification to the NCAA Division III Playoffs in the 131st edition of "The Game" on Saturday, November 14, at 1 p.m. on Fulton Field at Lewis C. Everett Stadium.
