Barrett Foster (Virginia Beach), played a part in each of the two points for Hampden-Sydney College in the 7-2 defeat to Franklin & Marshall (PA) College, Saturday afternoon at the Alumni Sports Fitness Center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Â
H-SC got one point in doubles action, as the pair of Foster and freshman
Casey Coffey (Midlothian) got a strong 8-3 victory in the top doubles match. Sophomore

Tanner Allison (Midlothian) fell by an 8-3 score line.
Foster grabbed the only singles win, with a three-set match in the top slot. He fell behind, losing the first set 6-2 before getting hot and taking the final two sets 6-4, 6-4 for the victory. McReynolds fell in three-set after taking the first set 6-4, he dropped the second set 6-2 before being beaten in the final set 7-5. Coffey took his first set into tiebreakers but fell in the first set 7(8)-6(6), before being beaten in the second set 6-4. Singleton also took his first set to tiebreakers, dropping the first set 7(7)-6(3), and falling after losing the second set 6-4. Freshman
John Glassner (Charlotte, NC) fell in his match 6-0, 6-0, and in the final match, Allison was bested 6-1, 6-1.
The Tigers will be back in action on Sunday, April 2 when they travel to Bridgewater College for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup with the Eagles. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. at the Mapp-Whitelow Tennis Courts in Bridgewater, Virginia.
