John Kendrick (Birmingham) and they cruised to an 8-3 victory. Freshman

Taylor Fox (Virginia Beach) and freshman
Tanner Allison (Midlothian) fell in the final doubles match 8-3, as H-SC went 1-2 in doubles action.
Following his doubles match, McReynolds had to be pulled out of singles competition with an illness. This forced everyone besides Foster to get bumped up, with freshman
John Glassner (Charlotte, NC) taking the sixth and final singles position. Foster, in his normal singles position, did not miss a beat from doubles action, easily defeating his opponent in the top singles position 6-1, 6-4. Sophomore
Matt Kendrick fell in singles action after moving up to fill the spot of McReynolds by a score line of 6-4, 6-4. Fox evened the match back up with a strong effort in the third singles slot. He took control early, winning the first set 6-4 before his opponent found his rhythm and took set two 6-2. In the all-important final set, Fox took back control and grabbed the victory in three sets 6-4, 2-6, 6-2. Sophomore
Henry Singleton (Richmond) competed in the fourth singles match falling in a close two-set match 6-3, 6-4.
With the Lions only needing one more singles victory to take the match, only Coffey and Glassner were left for the Tigers and both needed to take victories. Glassner finished first, taking the first set 6-3. After a rough second set that saw him lose 6-1, Glassner battled back, taking the final set 6-4 to pick up his first career singles victory with a 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 score line. Finishing shortly after was the match played by Coffey, who dropped a tough early set, 6-4. Coffey battled back in the second set, needing to win to continue the match he delivered, winning 7-5. It all came down to the final set to decided not only his match, but the overall match, Coffey came through with a backhand slice shot that was returned over the line to complete the comeback and deliver the Tigers a 5-4 win with a 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 match by Coffey.
The Tigers will be back in action tomorrow, March, 9, when they finish the singles matches against Otterbein (OH) University at 10:30 a.m. followed by a matchup with Wabash (IN) College at 2:30 p.m. to close out the spring break trip in Orlando Florida.
