Rugby wins on the road at William and Mary

The Hampden-Sydney Rugby team defeated William and Mary on Saturday 65-28. The road win and last regular season game moves the Ruggers to 5-2 on the season. The strength of their regular season record has resulted in H-SC earning the #1 seed in the upcoming Cardinal Collegiate Rugby Conference (CCRC) tournament this weekend at Roaoke College. Hampden-Sydney will open the tournament on Saturday at approximately 2:50 pm (the time may be earlier or later depending on the length of the preceding tournament game), and will play either James Madison or Roanoke. Earlier this fall, on September 7th, H-SC defeated Roanoke 58-29 on the road and defeated JMU 66-12 at home on October 12th.  With a loss on Saturday, H-SC will play in the the third-place game on Sunday at 11am. With a win on Saturday, H-SC will play in the conference championship game on Sunday at 1:30.
