Winston Salem, NC—The Hampden-Sydney Rugby Club traveled to Winston Salem, North Carolina, to take on Furman University. The Tigers jumped to a 20-7 lead with a strong start. As the match progressed, though, Furman regained momentum thanks to several long breakaways to the outside. Despite early success, the Tigers could not respond to the pressure and ultimately lost 32-45.
