HARRISONBURG, VA – Eastern Mennonite used a pair of first half goals to defeat Hampden-Sydney 3-0 on Saturday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Dominic Powers had his shot saved at 11:31, but he got his own rebound and put it back in to put EMU up 1-0 in the 12th minute
• In the 21st minute, Dave Drafton dribbled around his defender and put the ball inside the near post to make it a 2-0 game.
• Hampden-Sydney had several shots on goal the rest of the way, and nearly had a goal in the 70th minute but Adam Christensen's (Avon, IN / Covenant Christian) shot was barely saved by a defender.
• Jackson Taylor added on the final score of the game as he stole the ball away from a defender and put it in from the left corner of the box
