LYNCHBURG, VA - Tim Clancy's two goals and one assist lifted Lynchburg to a 3-1 win over Hampden-Sydney Soccer on Wednesday night.
H-SC narrowly missed putting up the first goal when Robert Kerby's (Hampton, VA / Kecoughtan) shot went off the crossbar at 4:46. Tim Clancy would end up opening the scoring at 23:20, putting it in off a deflection on a throw in. Clancy assisted on the second score when Dan Jobrack found the back of the net off a free kick in the 54th minute. Clancy posted the third goal of the game in the 63rd minute off a double assist from Jobrack and Jon Mackey. Michael Kim (Fairfax, VA / Robinson) notched the Tigers goal in the 86th minute.
Lynchburg outshot Hampden-Sydney 10-7 and held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Hampden-Sydney hosts Eastern Mennonite on Saturday at 7 pm for Family Weekend.
