VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - Virginia Wesleyan College used a goal in each half to defeat the visiting Hampden-Sydney Tigers 2-0 on Wednesday night.

Isaac Arrington scored five yards out as his shot went in off the left post to put Virginia Wesleyan up 1-0 in the 22nd minute. Josh McNamara added on the insurance tally from 15 yards out in the 82nd minute.

H-SC was limited to eight shots with only two on goal while Virginia Wesleyan had 18 shots with eight on target. Cameron McFarlane (Norwich, CT / South Kent) made several highlight reel quality saves as he finished the game with six. The Marlins drew seven corner kicks to three for the Tigers.

Hampden-Sydney hosts Roanoke College on Saturday for a 7 pm contest on Homecoming Weekend. The Tigers will honor their seven seniors for Senior Day following the game.
